The Ashburton Aviation Museum, Ashburton, New Zealand, boasts one of the country’s largest collections of aircraft. The museum features over 40 meticulously preserved aircraft, including models such as the de Havilland DH.115 Vampire T.11 and the Douglas A-4K Skyhawk. Visitors can explore cockpits, climb the old control tower, and interact with a “space ball” from the Soviet satellite Cosmos 482, which descended over the South Island in 1972. Additionally, the museum offers a flight simulator experience.
