Built in honor of Sir Frederick Banting, co-discoverer of insulin. The Banting Interpretation Center was built in 1991 after the wreckage from the 1941 crash, that claimed the life of Sir Frederick Banting was airlifted from Seven Mile Pond in 1990 and placed in the Banting Park. The center contains many artifacts relating to Dr. Bantings work and his death. On site there is a full scale replica of the Hudson Bomber plane.
