Collections:
The Society’s diverse collection includes:
- Fixed-Wing Aircraft: Ten aircraft representing both civil and military aviation from World War II to the present, such as the Vickers Viscount airliner and the de Havilland Vampire jet fighter. Notably, the collection features one of only 34 surviving de Havilland Mosquito fighter-bombers.
- Helicopters: Seven complete or near-complete helicopters, including a rare Fairchild-Hiller FH1100, highlighting the helicopter’s role in New Zealand’s agricultural, forestry, search and rescue, and deer recovery operations since World War II.
- Additional Artifacts: Four cockpit sections, various airport vehicles, and an extensive collection of memorabilia and technical aviation literature.
