The museum’s impressive collection includes:
- Aircraft Carrier USS Intrepid: Launched in 1943, the USS Intrepid served in World War II, surviving five kamikaze attacks and one torpedo strike. It also saw action during the Vietnam War and participated as a recovery vessel for the Gemini and Mercury space missions.
- Space Shuttle Enterprise: The world’s first space shuttle, Enterprise is displayed in the Space Shuttle Pavilion, offering insights into NASA’s shuttle program.
- Submarine USS Growler: This guided missile submarine provides a firsthand look at life aboard a Cold War-era vessel.
- British Airways Concorde: Experience the world’s fastest commercial airliner, which could cross the Atlantic in under three hours.
- Historic Aircraft: The museum features over 20 authentically restored aircraft, including a supersonic A-12 Blackbird spy plane.
