The Hamamatsu Air Park, officially known as the JASDF Hamamatsu Air Base Museum, is Japan’s only Air Self-Defense Force theme park. Located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, this museum offers an immersive experience into Japan’s aviation history and the operations of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).

JASDF Hamamatsu Air Base Museum Exhibits and Attractions

• Display Hangar: Home to a collection of real aircraft, including past fighter planes, Blue Impulse aerobatic team jets, and rescue helicopters. Visitors can even sit in the cockpits of select aircraft, providing a hands-on experience.
• Full-Dome Theater: A 360-degree theater showcasing dynamic aerial footage, simulating the experience of flying at high altitudes.
• Flight Simulators: Visitors can try their hand at piloting with simulators that replicate various flight conditions, including air turbulence.
• Pilot Uniform Experience: Dress up in authentic JASDF pilot uniforms and take photos, adding a personal touch to your visit.
