The National WASP WWII Museum, located at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, is dedicated to honoring the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II. These pioneering women were the first female pilots to fly American military aircraft, undertaking non-combat missions such as ferrying planes, towing targets for live anti-aircraft artillery practice, and testing newly overhauled aircraft.
