The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome collection spans from the late 19th century through the 1940s, including rare aircraft such as a 1902 Wright Glider, a British Sopwith Camel, and German Fokkers. These planes are representative of significant periods in aviation history, including World War I and the barnstorming era.
The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome offers airshows every Saturday and Sunday from mid-June through mid-October, featuring vintage World War I-era biplanes.
Here you can see the WW I and barnstormer aircraft in action and experience the colorful days of the propeller engine’s sound and smell the sent of Castrol oil. The people that work at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome are proud to fly the original planes, or exact copies driven by the original engines.
