The RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley near Ipswich, Queensland, offers a comprehensive look into the Royal Australian Air Force‘s history in Southeast Queensland from the 1930s to the present day. The Centre is housed in four World War II-era Bellman hangars and features a diverse collection of historical aircraft and exhibits.

The RAAF Amberley Heritage Centre is open 09:00 – 15:00, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the third Sunday of every month (excluding December).
Bookings are essential for all visits. Please complete the Amberley Heritage Centre Booking Request Form and email it to raaf.aahc@defence.gov.au, at least seven days prior to your planned visit.
Free admission however, donations are gratefully accepted.

RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre Key Exhibits:
- Aircraft Displays: Visitors can view a range of aircraft, including the F-111 A8-126, known for its iconic “dump and burn” displays, a World War II Douglas A20G Havoc named “Hell’n Pelican,” a Canberra Bomber A84-242, a Caribou A4-236, and a Sabre A94-962.
- Additional Displays: The Centre also showcases aircraft engines, an F-111 crew module, World War II jeeps, aircraft refueling vehicles, and a variety of armaments.
