Saxon Aerospace Museum, there are exhibits about test pilot and sound-barrier cracker Chuck Yeager (a bronze statue of him is at the base); and female pilot Pancho Barnes (who ran the local watering hole — The Happy Bottom Riding Club — where each day’s surviving test pilots would hang out).

  • Interactive Exhibits: Inside, the museum houses a variety of flight memorabilia, plane models, and parts. Notably, there is a fighter cockpit section that visitors can sit in, providing a hands-on experience.
  • Historical Artifacts: The museum recounts milestones in experimental flight testing in the surrounding desert, including the first breaking of the sound barrier.
