Zeppelin-Museum Zeppelinheim shows the history of the Zeppelin airships in its permanent exhibition at its Frankfurt location on an area of around 300 square meters you find an encompassing overview of 40 years of Zeppelin airships. Using original exhibits, such as an engine or parts of the interior fittings, the technology, comfort and significance of the airships are illustrated. At the request of the visitors, four different films on the history of the zeppelins will be shown.

  • Bust of Graf Zeppelin
  • Maybach Zeppelin engine

The location of the house follows from history: Zeppelinheim was founded in 1935 as a residential and working settlement for the accommodation of the Zeppelin crew members and ground personnel on a greenfield site. On 1 January 1938 Zeppelinheim became an independent municipality.

The museum is realised as an extension to the community centre in Zeppelinheim. The house was opened in 1988. The extension corresponds in its shape to a quarter of the cross-section of the Zeppelin LZ 10.
