How to get there: From Fukuoka's Hakata Station, take the train to Nishi-Kagoshima Station (about 3 hours 45 min) Also Buses available in front of Nishi-Kagoshima Station depart for Chiran 80 min travel time directly to museum.

Chiran is a town which was a base for kamikaze pilots at the end of the Pacific War. The Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots displays, preserves and collects the valuable documents of these pilots who rammed enemy ships by becoming human bombs
