In the MacRobertson Trophy Air Race (London - Melbourne Air Race) 1934, the XB-AKM flew as NX14307 tail-number 46 with Miss J. Cochran and W. Smith Pratt (USA). Withdrew with malfunctioning flaps, after landing damage at Bucharest at the first day of the air race October 20, 1934.

The Granville R-6H was acquired by Fransisco Sarabia Tinoco and renamed El Conquistador del Cielo with registration XB-AKM. He made a record breaking flight from Mexico City to Whashington D.C. but crashed on the return flight.
