MC200 ‘Saetta’ (‘Lightning’) employed a large radial engine and unconventional wing form. Although difficult to fly the performance was exceptional – only the Hurricane could out-perform it for straightline speed and only the Spitfire could make steeper turns. Marked in original 22° Gruppo markings complete with scarecrow on the white band.
