The museum (operated by Wright “B” Flyer Inc.) honors the Wright brothers’ achievements by preserving and displaying modern lookalikes of the original Model B Flyer—the very first airplane produced in quantity by the Wright Company. These replicas (often referred to by nicknames such as the “Brown Bird” and the “White Bird”) are built to modern standards while retaining the historic character of the early 1910 design.
