Aircraft collection
On the grounds of the Schleißheim special landing field, various exhibits from the field of aviation and space travel will be on display. These include various aircraft, helicopters, engines and power units. In addition, various on-board and equipment items and a flight simulator are on display. There is also a glass aircraft workshop where visitors can watch aircraft restoration from a gallery. It is partly located in the restored buildings from the time of the Royal Bavarian Air Force (1912-1919) and a new exhibition hall built in 1992.; 8.000 m² of exhibition space; 1.5 million visitors per year; over 50 original aircraft exhibits ranging from Lilienthal to Airbus.
