Dornier Merkur (replica) D-1103 Luft Hansa

The Dornier Merkur was a passenger airplane which first flew on February 10, 1925. 50 of them were built here in Friedrichshafen. This replica built in Hungary and painted in original Luft Hansa colours from the 1920s by five retirees of Lufthansa Technik’s painting division who spent several weeks of their time to give “Silberfuchs” (Silver Fox) its fresh look. | picture Ruud Boots
