The For Freedom Museum shows through a number of dioramas the battle that Canadian, Polish and British soldiers fought from September to 3 November 1944 to free the region West-Vlaanderen from the occupation by Nazi Germany.
The collection consists of the collections brought together by Patrick Tierssoone and Freddy Jones, which consists of uniforms and original vehicles. They are supplemented by excavated aircraft remains from the third partner, Bahaat, a recognised association of aeronautical archaeologists.
