Saro (Saunders-Roe) A.19 Cloud OK-BAK CSA – Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie
This fifth built aircraft was the last produced civilian Cloud. First-time flown in 1933 with British registration G-ACGO and in 1934 was bought for Czechoslovakia Airlines. Due to its ambhibious conception was used to line Praha-Brno-Bratislava-Zagreb-Susak and nicknamed as “Adriatic Express”. During German occupation it was grounded and deleted from aircraft register. After WW2 the fuselage was adopted as a houseboat on Vltava River and later on Orlik Lake. There was in 1975 discovered and transported to Kbely. In 1977 the fuselage was restored at Trencin and at Kbely museum first-time displayed in 1995. | Phil Glover
