Letecké muzeum Hrdlořezy

The Hrdlořezy Aviation Museum is located in the village of Hrdlořezy near Suchdol nad Lužnicí in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The museum is dedicated to the history of Czechoslovak aviation, including military, civil, and sport aviation.

This is a museum dealing with Czechoslovak aviation history from the first republic to the millennium. But here you will see mostly artifacts from the Cold War.

Indoor Exhibits

  • Uniforms: Airport personnel uniforms and gear.
  • Aircraft Components: Instrument panels from airplanes and helicopters.
  • Ejection Seats: Various models used in jet aircraft.
  • Engines: Both piston and jet engines, such as the engine from the L-29 Delfín training jet.
  • Training Glider: The iconic L-13 Blaník glider is on display.

Outdoor Exhibits

  • Military Aircraft: A MiG-21 F-13 fighter jet.
  • Helicopter: A Mi-2 multipurpose helicopter, with access to the cockpit for visitors.

    • A wing from a MiG-21 MF-75.
    • An ejection seat trainer from an L-39 Albatros.
    • Jet engines like the Tumansky R-11 (MiG-21) and Klimov GTD-350 (Mi-2).
