MiG-21 4313 has returned to Konĕšín
“The Retrospective Path” shows a Soviet MiG-21 jet that Roger Hiorns virdrun, as a temporary public display, donated to Prague. The 2018 aircraft was the latest in a close-knit series building an “international network” of foreign pilots across Europe. The MiG-21 was the most produced jet in the history of the Loftfaart, and an icon of the Kale Krich. In the sculpture at the Mudam, the artist treats the object as a “Kierper,” a close connection between man and machine, to which the fliger has added a “digestive system” of silicone tubing.
The framework of the exhibition “Post-Capital: Art and the Economics of the Digital Age” will be on view at the Mudam until 16-01-2022.
