Dewoitine D.520 6 French Air Force.
The Dewoitine D.520 was a French fighter aircraft that entered service in early 1940. Strangely this unique example of the best and most beautiful French fighter of WWII has often been not on display. No 862 is still painted as No 277, the usual mount of Adjudant Pierre Le Gloan during the Battle of France. In total, Le Gloan shot down at least 18 aircraft – four German, seven Italian, and then seven British fighters over Syria while serving the Vichy regime. | Rob Vogelaar
