Museu FAMA-Museu Asas de um Sonho

Taking Off Again – In August 2024, Museu Asas de um Sonho (the Wings of a Dream Museum) resumed its activities with the aim of gradually bringing its historical collection of civil and military aviation back to the public.

Now based in Itu, São Paulo, within the Fábrica São Pedro cultural complex, we are bringing some of the aircraft and items from the original collection through specific exhibitions that you can check out below.

We remain steadfast in our purpose of preserving and exhibiting one of the most important historical aviation collections in the world.

Currently, a total of 10 aircraft are on display, in addition to historical memorabilia, vehicles, drones, photographs, models and more.

Museu Asas de um Sonho continue to work to gradually expand the public exhibition of their original collection, which consists of more than 100 aircraft.

The high degree of logistical and infrastructural complexity required to bring this important collection to the public is challenging. For this reason, it is not yet possible to specify dates for the original collection to be substantially exhibited.

Are all Museu Asas de um Sonho aircraft on display?

At this point, it is not yet possible to set a date. As this is the largest historical aviation collection in Latin America, the complexity of making the entire collection available for public viewing is challenging.

We are conducting several technical and financial studies of possibilities and scenarios ranging from the complete migration of the collection, currently located in São Carlos, to Itu-SP, as well as a possible distribution of the collection among other locations, including the future MAPA (Museu Aeroespacial Paulista) located in Campo de Marte – SP.
