Múzejné oddelenie Svidník

The Múzejné oddelenie Svidník (Museum Department Svidník) is a branch of the Military Historical Museum in Slovakia, dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of military conflicts in the region, particularly those related to World War II. It is located in the town of Svidník, a historically significant area due to its role in the Battle of the Dukla Pass, one of the pivotal battles on the Eastern Front during the war.

    • Larger military equipment, such as tanks, artillery, and vehicles, aircraft Avia B-33, Lisunov Li-2 are exhibited outdoors.
    • The museum’s grounds serve as an open-air showcase of heavy military technology used during World War II.
  4. Regional Military History:
    • Exhibits explore the broader context of military history in the region, including earlier conflicts and post-war military developments.

The exposition includes 20km (12.43miles) long open-air museum representing Dukla battlefield where you can find heavy military weapons, reconstructed firing positions of artillery troops, bunkers and other military relics of World War II.
