Muzeum letecké a pozemní techniky

The Muzeum letecké a pozemní techniky (Museum of Aviation and Ground Technology) is located at the old military airfield on the northeastern outskirts of Vyškov, Czech Republic, towards Prostějov. Established through a collaboration between the Letecká Historická Společnost (Aviation Historical Society) Foundation and the Army of the Czech Republic, the museum showcases a diverse collection of military aircraft and ground equipment spanning several generations.

  • Aircraft: The museum’s collection includes fighter, bomber, transport, and reconnaissance aircraft, with approximately 27 planes and 7 helicopters on display.
  • Ground Equipment: Visitors can explore various military vehicles, artillery pieces, anti-aircraft weapons, and other ground support equipment.
  • Aviation Archaeology: The museum features fragments of aircraft shot down during World War II, excavated primarily in the Moravian region.
  • Engines and Armaments: The collection also includes a variety of aircraft engines and weaponry, providing insight into the technological advancements of the era.
