This long-range, photo-recon Canberra first flew in January 1953 until her last flight in April 1969 and is one of only two complete PR.3s to survive. Shortly after her introduction to service this aircraft won the UK-NZ speed race, completing the Heathrow-Basra-Colombo-Cocos Islands-Perth-Christchrch route in an elapsed time of 23 h 50 (22 h 27 airborne), an average speed of 494.48 mph. | Rob Vogelaar
