Gloster Meteor F.8 WH301 609 Sqn. RAF
Originally delivered to 29 MU in Nov-1951 before spending three years at the Day Fighter Leaders School, Central Fighter Establishment. Following that it spent time with 609 and 85 Sqn before going into storage at RAF Henlow in Feb-1967. It was allocated RAF maintenance serial 7930M (which contrary to popular belief is not a cn!), then arrived at the RAF Museum Hendon in 1980. It’s painted in the colours of 609 Sqn. | Rob Vogelaar
