Junkers Ju87G-2 Stuka 494083/RI+JK Luftwaffe (German Air Force)
This “Stuka” is one of only two original surviving Ju-87s in the world, the other one being displayed in the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. It has been captured by the British in Northern Germany in 1945. This Stuka was in 1943-44 originally built in version D-5 and later converted to G-2. Until the wars end it operated on the Eastern Front and by the western allies was captured in Germany probably near Russian border. In August 1945 was still at Eggebek airfield and in September was transported to England. I Rob Vogelaar
