TU-142 Aircraft Museum refers to a unique museum centered around the Tupolev Tu-142, a maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. The museum is located in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), India, and showcases a decommissioned Tu-142 aircraft, which was part of the Indian Navy’s fleet.

TU 142 Aircraft Museum Exhibits:
- The museum includes the fully restored aircraft, where visitors can explore the interior, including the cockpit, radar systems, and crew sections.
- Informational panels and multimedia exhibits explain the aircraft’s history, missions, and technical details.
- There are also displays of equipment, photos, and artifacts related to the Tu-142 and the Indian Navy’s aviation history.
After having served the Indian Navy with pride and élan for 29 years, during which it accomplished 30,000 hours of accident free flying, the TU-142M aircraft were given a befitting farewell on 29 March 2017 at INS Rajali, Naval Air Station in Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. The Govt of Andhra Pradesh and Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority coordinated activities related to converting one de-inducted TU-142M into a museum on the Beach Road near Kursura Submarine Museum.
Before entering into the aircraft you can see display of various equipments and parts of aircraft placed inside one exhibition hall. Equipment’s like sonobuoys, propeller, engine, survival kit, anti submarine missile, date recorder etc are displayed with all details. Outside the aircraft you can take photos and the area is well maintained. There is a flight simulator platform which can be enjoyed through VR headsets.
