In 1949, the aircraft was passed on to the Italian Air Force as MM52839, where it served until 1954. Then the aircraft was sold on the civilian market and flew for various Italian flying clubs as I-AAEP until 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between 2003 and 2006, the aircraft was restored and until recently flew around Italy as I-VISP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The owner chose to paint the plane in the colors of the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF), 88th Infantry Division, with serial &#8217;42-98491\u2032.
