It featured a collection of aircraft, including complete planes and cockpit sections, with the unique opportunity for visitors to access many of the cockpits. This hands-on experience allowed guests to explore the interiors of various aircraft, from the compact cockpit of the Lightning jet-fighter to the expansive front section of the Nimrod submarine hunter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highland Aviation Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"widget-pane-section-info-text\">Inverness Airport, Dalcross<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"widget-pane-section-info-text\">Inverness IV2 7JB<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scotland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aviationmuseum.eu\/Blogvorm\/2015\/05\/30\/united-kingdom\/\">United Kingdom<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Museum is closed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, the museum permanently closed its doors in October 2019. Following the closure, the aircraft were sold, and the exhibits were dispersed.
