There is a corner of USCG memorabilia from the old AIRSTA Chicago, along, of course, with the <strong>HH-52A<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the Glenview Naval Air Station<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>History of NAS Glenview: World War II:<\/strong> NAS Glenview was a major training facility for naval aviators, particularly for carrier qualifications. Two Lake Michigan-based training carriers, the USS Wolverine and USS Sable, were used for practice landings and takeoffs.<strong>Cold War Era:<\/strong> The station remained active as a hub for naval aviation and operations until its closure in the 1990s.<strong>Notable Contribution:<\/strong> Over 15,000 pilots trained at NAS Glenview, including former President George H.W.
